1 Year of Blogging!!!

 Hey Everyone!!

It's been one year since I started blogging. Over the year, we averaged roughly 10 viewers per month. Which is approximately 3% of our overall newsletter recipient list and a much more considerable percentage of our financial support list.  To those of you who crack this thing open month after month, I thank you. It's nice to know there are a few other slightly twisted, overly pragmatic, borderline cynics who love Jesus. 

We should grow a little, which will require your help. I know making friends or talking with people isn't fun. I think that's why Farmers are Farmers and why God's calling me to do what I do is a cruel irony and proof that God has a sense of humor. On the other hand, if we don't talk to people, we can't love people in a way that brings glory to God. So go find someone who needs Jesus, bring them to Jesus, and then introduce them to the blog so they don't feel so alone.

So thank you for a beautiful year, and I'll see you next month!

 Hi Everyone! As many of you have heard, Michael Tate, the singer from the Newsboys and previously DC Talk, has been caught in Sexual abuse and  Drug addiction. It's easy to see how this will shake much of God's Kingdom, as he has had such a significant influence for decades. Some may even question whether his faith was ever genuine.  I, for one, don't ask about genuine faith as it's a slippery slope. Not to say I never ask the question, I just don't make a decision because it's the Lord who weighs hearts. I do, however, ask, where is repentance? Threshing Floor

 Hi Everyone, Earlier in the month, I was praying into some ministry-related concepts and felt like the Lord said, "Watch the Threshing Floor". I'm not going to go into all the details of why and what I was praying into. However, because I didn't know what a Threshing Floor really was, I had to do some digging. I knew the basic concept of separating good from bad, but I needed to know more. It's my new understanding that I want to share with you. First, Threshing is part of Revival. This is part of the blog on Jesus flipping the tables.  To understand threshing and threshing floors, I would like to provide you with a mental picture. Imagine a big flat slab of cement either outside or indoors. Why did Jesus flip those tables?

 Hi Everyone! Most of my life, I have wondered, When do we get to flip tables?!  I mean, I don't know about you, but every time I read the story in John 2:13-17 and Matt 21:12,13 (the story is in all the gospels, but these two show a couple key pieces regarding the story), part of me goes " YA!!! Let's do this for a Ministry focus!" Then I walk away a little sad because I don't realize the context of when such aggression is appropriate.
